Living From The Heart

Is it possible to live from the heart?

This is an idea shared by some friends recently.

Is that similar to the “do unto others” concept from the good book?

If we are truly one at the Spiritual or Universal Mind level, then the answer is ‘of course’.

That might be considered the ‘truth’!

If we look after each other, does that mend the heart, does it bring peace to oneself?

It is definitely worth considering & practicing.

If we think & act for others we don’t leave room to worry about self. That alone might be worth the exercise.

Leo Tolstoy wrote ‘The Kingdom of God is Within’. Living from the heart may be the path to tap that inherent part of our being.

Creative Energy – Life Beyond Death

“The divine lives within you. Our Western religions tend to put the divine outside of the earthly world and in God, in heaven. But the whole sense of the Oriental is that the kingdom of heaven is within you. Who’s in heaven? God is. Where’s God? God’s within you. And what is God? God is a personification of that world-creative energy and mystery which is beyond thinking and beyond naming.” Joseph Campbell

Mortals are made up of that which disintegrates. Ego is that which separates.

The flesh will be absorbed back into dust & the ‘I’ will flow back into universal consciousness.

Who does that happen to?

Us, there is no ‘me’.

New International Version

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

New International Version

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

I think these two biblical quotes above are the essence of much materialistic distortion in our society.

Men have often thought they were a privileged superior breed to animals, women, & the environment.

These last three were considered to be subservient to man’s needs.

Role reversal may be in order!

Women come from love, men bring war.

Is there a simple answer to what ails us?

Might the ‘Ascent of Woman’ be worth a look?

“But if Sally Armstrong, author of the above book, sees resistance and progress where the cynical do not, it’s not only admirable, it’s a necessary precondition for changing the world.I will leave you to ponder with this Globe & Mail article:

What is Within Us

A friend of ours on Pender Island said he wants to bring Heaven to Earth here where we live.

Leo Tolstoy wrote a book ‘The Kingdom of God is Within’.

So might our friend go within to find the Heaven that he speaks about?

Who or what does live within us?

If it or s(he) is within, what is it or s(he)?

Is it our choice to decide?

Good or bad, love or evil. Are these our choices?

The good book states that one can’t serve both God & Mammon. Does that mean we have to choose our course & one path leads to Heaven within & the other to a less desirable outcome?

When good & evil are brought inside then we can manifest that which we choose.

Every day, every choice becomes our heaven or hell.

We can choose self interest or selfless service.

One brings peace the other worry.

How do we reconcile our self?

We choose!

Are We Really All Connected?

There is a lot of talk about us all being one, even connected with nature.

Recently a friend posted this 2 minute video on Facebook:

Spirits in the forest?

A young Amazonian tribesman visiting London, England, had some interesting words on this topic. He wants to go back? What are we missing?
